Notice the two different colors (hence concentration) of chromatin in this skin tissue. And on the right the eosinophil has two lobes with differing chromatin patterns.  This is an example of the origin of the name Bi-Biomics. We have worked out the biochemistry of this related to histones.

First photo- Grayscale ~2000X. Arrows point to foot processes. Second photo- PAS stain 1200X. Third photo- Grayscale ~2000X. Note reduplicated basement membrane. Fourth photo- Grayscale 1600X. Note basement membrane detail. Fifth photo- Connective tissue stain 1600X. Note bright blue basement membrane. Sixth photo- Renal tubular epithelium 1600X. Dark dots are mitochondria. Cytoplasmic shedding within the lumen.This is equivalent to medium low Electron Microscopy.
   

10% fixed tissue (no additive) vs. Ultralight fixed tissue with Pristine Artifact preventer - 12/4/2008
The first photo is standard process tissue (10% fixation cut at 5 micron without additive). The second photo is the ultralight processed tissue (cut at 5 micron), and the third photo is the ultralight processed tissue (cut at 1 micron). We recommend 1 micron, as 5 micron has layers that can impede diagnosis and clarity of cellular structure.
   

Pristine Artifact Preventer with ultralight process tissue (at 1 micron) - 12/4/2008
We recommend 1 micron for ultimate clarity and detail. The left photo has no artifact preventer and the right photo has artifact preventer added to both hematoxylin and eosin. Note the more brilliant stain with the artifact preventer.
  

Pristine Artifact Preventer Comparison Photos - 11/13/2008
Tissue type: Endometrium. Fixed/Processed with Ultralight method and cut at 1 micron. The left photo is without Pristine Artifact Preventer, while the right photo is with Pristine Artifact Preventer. (WITHOUT)- Shrunken stroma and nuclei. Chromatin has irregular clumping. (WITH)- Stroma and nuclei maintained shape. Chromatin is very fine with clear nuclear outlines.

Tissue type: Uterine tube. Fixed/Processed with Ultralight method and cut at 1 micron. The left photo is without Pristine Artifact Preventer, while the right photo is with Pristine Artifact Preventer. (WITHOUT)- Note compression of fine detail (nucleus and cytoplasm). (WITH)- Cilia and cytoplasmic anchoring have greater clarity.
