Welcome To Bi-Biomics® Minimize

Bi-Biomics is a life science discovery company based in Nampa, Idaho. We have many exciting areas of research that start in the basics of cellular biology. We presently offer histological tissue preparation in our revolutionary, patent pending technology.

Formaldehyde Fixation Revisited

Although our tissue is formalin fixed and paraffin embedded, the tissue is cut at one micron (0.5µm by request).  The secret to the superior tissue preservation is incomplete dehydration.  Where traditional methods fully dehydrate tissue and distort cellular structures, our tissue fixation process preserves structural and dedicated water molecules essential for proper protein folding.  The resulting tissue retains microstructural detail, preserving delicate structures like cilia and microvilli and providing for better antibody and probe localization for immunohistochemistry and immune fluorescence.

The tissue sections produced in our lab yield images with detail resolution at 2400X.  This technology bridges the gap between light and electron microscopy, providing 10-100 times more detail and greatly extending the limits of your research or diagnosis.

Our histological service options include:

Specimen preparation
Embedded paraffin blocks
Slides with sample thickness available down to 0.5µm
